Personalised Therapy in the Community

Part of your life may involve engaging in activities in the community, for example socialising, learning or working. Whatever this looks like for you, we will support you to develop the communication and thinking skills needed to participate in the activities that are meaningful to you. Therapy will work toward improving your skills in community settings, building relationships and achieving your social, study or vocational goals.

This may include improving your capacity to:

  • Participate confidently in conversations when socialising

  • Carry out community-based tasks like shopping and banking

  • Join a community group of interest

  • Study at school or tertiary level

  • Volunteer with a local charity

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues in the workplace.

Collaboration with the people who engage with you in these settings is an important part of the rehabilitation process.

“Our passion is to make a real and positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families.”
