Information & Support for Families
Family members and other significant people in your life play an important role in your rehabilitation.
We believe that therapy is a collaborative process. As the people who know you best, family members or other significant people in your life can be important supporters and facilitators of change.
They have also been impacted by the injury, and as people who care for you, may find the journey following brain injury challenging and at times uncertain.
We work with families and significant others to help them understand the nature of the changes you are experiencing following brain injury and how they impact your daily life.
We provide education to family members on how best to support your therapy, while looking after themselves as well. We know that they may need support as much you. A brain injury happens to a family or even a community, not just an individual.
